cleaning, organizing and bragging

is what I did this weekend in a nutshell.

friday: got to see my sister in law who flew in from the philippines, she made us a wonderful dinner

saturday: woke up bright and early to clean and start weekend chores. i pulled all of my jewelry out of plastic bins and organized it to look like this:




i don't have a great collection of jewelry, but i am hoping now that it is out i will wear what i have more often.


then tc and i went on a date day. we had a light lunch at pf changs, went shopping, bought this (sorry, it is a terrible picture that doesn't come close to doing the necklace justice):




which actually has a story behind it. i bought this same necklace at the tiffany's in new york city 3 years ago. it was so gorgeous, and i just loved it to pieces. unfortunately when i got home some things happened and before i even got to wear it i needed the money and had to return it. on saturday, travis came up to me and said we should go replace that necklace i had to return. it turns out, i still love it just as much! and this time i'll get to keep it!

we strolled around the mall a little bit, i bought a bunch of other stuff I "needed", we went to the bookstore, a fantastic dinner, downtown for some cookies, then home for movie watching.

today we went couch shopping which i can already tell is going to be a total beating. hopefully today will not be a good example of future shopping adventures.

all in all, i'll put a mark in the w column for this weekend. the only way it could have been better is if it were longer. oh, and if i didn't have to do my own chores
